Microblading is what we do!
Microblading in Carrollton is growing in popularity. It is a procedure that started in Europe and has trickled into the states more recently. The microblading procedure is semi-permanent, lasting on average for a year but up to three years. Using a sterile hand tool and disposable microblade, the pigment is implanted under the superficial dermal layer of skin in a stroke-like pattern that mimics the natural brow hair. The results are so natural that most people won’t even realize that it’s not your real eyebrows!

More Info on Microblading
Although Microblading Carrollton is a less invasive procedure than your more traditional tattoo method(microblading is about 20x less deep than a tattoo), it still requires us to implant pigment under the skin. Pigment differs from ink and fades more naturally than the ink of a tattoo. You won’t have blue-ish green brows after it begins fading. It simply fades to a lighter version of the color you originally chose. Typically, we will map the brows based on bone structure and symmetry. Once the shape is determined, the first pass of microblading will begin. This process is to lightly implant the pigment into the skin within the boundaries created. Once this has been done on both sides, a fast acting and extremely effective numbing gel is applied to the brows. This gel allows the rest of the procedure to be essentially painless. Once the brows are numbed, we microblade a little deeper over the same lines we created and further implant the pigment.

Common Questions About Microblading Carrollton:
With this eyebrow procedure being newer to the U.S., there are many questions about the process and how it works. Below are some of the more common questions about microblading and what to expect. For more detailed information, visit our blog on the 18 Questions on Microblading.
Microblading is great for almost everyone! Whether you want a fuller brow or just want a better shaped brow, this procedure can be beneficial for you. We have done several patients with alopecia (no hair at all) and it has been a life changer for them! With microblading, you can sweat with ease, go swimming without worries or take that afternoon nap without leaving an imprint of your brows behind on the pillow.
Reasons we would not microblade a client:
Microblading is a form of tattooing that is semi-permanent and manual. Results typically last around a year but up to 3 years before fully fading. The microblading Carrollton procedure does not go as deep as a tattoo and uses pigment instead of ink. Colors will naturally fade as opposed to turning blue, green, or pink as some tattoo inks may do. Using a hand tool and tiny microblade dipped in the pigment, we make each pass to mimic the natural brow. The strokes look like real hair and blend with your natural brows. The procedure takes around 2 hours in total and the results are stunning and natural. The healing time is about 2 weeks (with an addtl 2-4 weeks resting period) and within those two weeks, your brows will go through a healing process. In the first few days, your brows will look darker as some of the pigment seeps out of the lines and sits on top of the skin. After this phase, your brows will begin peeling and flaking. This can be similar to a sunburn flake or even a light scabbing. Once its done flaking, the color underneath will appear very light. Within the next week or so after this point, you will notice the color coming back. Finally, after 4-6 total weeks of healing time, we will have you come back in for a “perfecting” touch up session, where we will tweak any areas that may not have taken well from the first procedure.
Touch ups are absolutely necessary. With it being a manual procedure, the artist uses different pressure on different areas of the brow. There may have been some lines that didnt heal with the pigment inside because of this, so we tweak it at the touch up. The touch up is there to perfect the shape and ensure that all of the areas of the brow are filled in properly. Microblading in Carrollton is a two step process. If you do not come back for your touch up, we cannot guarantee optimal results.

Our Microblading Carrollton procedure caters to our clients and we do the best to make the procedure as painless as possible. It isn’t fully painless, but we keep the pain on a lower level that is manageable for our clients. In the first half of the procedure, we use very light pressure; just enough to scratch the surface to where the pigment will lightly show up. We then apply a numbing gel over the area that allows us to go deeper into those lines and implant the pigment to the depth that it will retain. With the numbing gel activated, the pain is almost completely gone and the last half of the procedure is comfortable enough that many clients fall asleep!
We use only the highest quality pigments and blades. In the consultation, we will ask if you are allergic to any of the ingredients to ensure that there are no allergic reactions. All of our tools are sterilized and our areas of work are cleaned thoroughly before each client. Microblading is a safe procedure if performed by experts who know health code laws and how to do it properly. As far as DFW Microblading goes, all of our artists are highly trained to perform the procedure safely.
